Mission ShakthiSAT
Destination LEO
Mission ShakthiSAT: Destination LEO is an international CubeSat mission designed to up-skill and empower young women through hands-on spacecraft engineering, payload development, and on-orbit operations.
The mission offers free rideshare access to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) for selected payload teams, combined with an intensive STEM and Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT) programme delivered in India.
The mission is delivered in partnership between:
Space Kidz India & Meridian Space Command.
-

Note: due to the STEM nature of this mission, and the fact that the spacecraft is considered a “Filler” on the launch vehicle, the launch window may shift at short notice.
Why This Mission Matters
Mission ShakthiSAT: Destination LEO is not just another CubeSat mission.
It is a global capability-building programme, focused on women-led teams, real spaceflight hardware, and meaningful international knowledge transfer.
Selected payloads will fly to orbit at no cost, while directly contributing to the training of the next generation of women space engineers.
